Now we are eagerly awaiting the start of the 63rd Nobel Laureate Meeting in Lindau on Sunday, 30 June 2013, which is dedicated to chemistry. We expect 35 Nobel Laureates to join the meeting together with more than 600 (sic!) talented young scientists. The meeting itself is very much a real life event, offering lots of opportunities for discussions – e.g. ‘How may green chemistry encourage sustainability’ or ‘What is needed for better energy storage systems?’.
Such topics and many more may also be discussed online on this site. So let’s not wait until the Meeting starts!
We again are happy to welcome a team of top bloggers to share with us their ideas and expectations for this year’s meeting. Some of the team already have been joining one or more Lindau meetings and can provide personal insights in advance.
And we invite ALL participants to become guest bloggers. You may write in English, German or Spanish. No fear of technical hurdles! We of course lift your postings on the platform for you. Just send your article via email plus a picture and a short biography of yours.
Additional there are two video teams expected to cover the meeting. The Nature video team will once again create short films that capture dialogues between laureates and young researchers. And four young scientists will make their own daily videos during the meeting. If you also do videos, please don’t hesitate to contact us. We may embed them here and on Facebook if you like.
So let’s start!
